On February 6, 2023, a major earthquake struck Turkey. I wasn’t directly affected, but I was very anxious at the time. I was looking for relaxing content on Twitch and rediscovered Bob Ross from my childhood. Watching Bob made me feel much better, and eventually I wanted to paint too.

Since I have a perfectionist mindset, it’s difficult for me to start painting. So I try to reframe my mind by remembering Bob’s words: “We don’t make mistakes, just happy accidents.”

I’ve also learned a lot from LadyGalaga, a Bob Ross Certified Instructor, who is always kind and generous in answering my questions about painting.
