This is certainly not an easy painting to get a good picture of. I have taken several in different rooms with different lighting and still can’t find that perfect light.
Anyway, this has been on my “have to do” list now from the very beginning. I have always loved it! I wanted to wait until I had improved. My background was not as red as Bobs. I learned the hard way with the liquid white, several times, having used to much. I was afraid of doing the same thing here and didn’t want to chance it. When I do this scene again I’ll know what to do.
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this painting, it was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to do it again. So pleased with how things turned out.

I did this painting today too! I too struggled with photographing it! So much glare from everywhere! I guess I’ll just do it. Yours looks good. Anyhoo, I like your background trees and the foreground bushes really pop! Your reflections in the water turned out great as well!
