Tranquil Valley

Voy Kay 08 Jan 2022

Another recycled canvas used here where the paint was scraped off, slightly sanded the canvas and then applied black gesso on it.
This is from the earlier work of Bob which I don't happen to fancy very much. Usually I paint his work from season 15 onwards. This was an exception only because a black canvas was to be used.

Canvas used was a HQ 10"x12". Hardest part were the hills which are not formed and shadowed easily. I had a poor result with them, I admit.
Matt warned us about the too pink background bushes in his work so I left them dark enough in mine.
Easy parts were the grass, the trees, the bushes and the water.

In al, 65 minutes of fun and I can recommend this one to you! Have a great day!

Thank you!
The small size canvas speeds things up a lot, and also I watched the full episode the morning before I painted this.
In all, I was very relaxed, specially when I noticed my grass and bushes were really working out right. That always gives a boost!
