I think I might do this one at my December painting class. It's very appropriately titled for this time of year. I made the clouds with the fan brush instead of the 1" as Bob did. I just feel more comfortable with the fan brush. The most difficult part here might have been putting the larger evergreens in front of the mountain. It's just kind of difficult going over top of all that paint.

So pretty! This WOULD be a great class painting. They white snow on the black canvas gives good results even to beginners.
Thanks Pam. What do you think about flicking liquid white at the canvas to mimic snow? I contemplated it but didn't want to ruin the painting either

I think too much going on in the composition. snow would be distracting.
