I ran out of Midnight Black and tried to recreate it using Mars black, Prussian Blue, and Dioxazine Purple, but it turned out very neutral compared to Bob's painting. Also, I kinda didn't want to put in the little cabin church. I really don't think anyone would attend a service out here...maybe I'm wrong!
Thank you! I was feeling pretty optimistic about this painting through until the ridge of trees and then I got hung up on imagining who'd be out in this wilderness at this time of night. It's probably not even safe to be there. Should I have made little footprints? Clearly someone's inside. I dunno.
LOL!!
Another amazing sky. It's better than the original. Don't worry about the colours, they are very natural looking. I sometimes think Bob uses too much blue.
Absolutely stunning!
