High Chateau

Ninoum 05 Dec 2022

Every painting has its challenge. This one didn’t fail. So much paint on my path and the front of my chalet… my grass wouldn’t stick on those small areas even is I used very thin paint. The dark color always bleed on my light one. I will have to touch up some of my grassy areas but it’s minimal.

I am super happy with my cabin/chalet. I added the two birch trees, bushes on each side of the path at the bottom, sticks & twigs and some rocks.

Thank you tel! 😊 I

really like your color palette in this! really nice path and rocks too

Thank you Jessie! ☺️

Don’t worry about it. We’ve all mixed a little mud at one time or another. I know what you mean, though. It’s frustrating. I don’t know if you’ve tried this or not, but when I have trouble making the paint stick, I get out a shop towel and just take the paint off the canvas where it’s not sticking. It gets rid of the mud and let you redo that area in a way that works.

I will do the shop towel trick for mountains to remove as much paint as possible before applying the snow or if I messed up an area. But I didn’t think about doing it in this case. Great tip! Thank you Brian!!! 😊
