Rippling Waters

Ninoum 12 Feb 2023

This painting reminded me of โ€œPurple Hazeโ€ (S22E6) when I was painting it. Itโ€™s got lots of similarities (see picture above).

Fun to paint. I like the colors. Interesting doing a duo liquid white & liquid black as a base to wet the canvas.

I like the golden leaves and branches a lot! Super N!

Thanks B! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Good morning Nancy, a very nice picture. You're right, it's a bit reminiscent of purple haze .One thing my eye stumbles upon are the stones right at the beginning of the waterfall. Looks like they're floating. It's probably due to the photo or that I don't have glasses on ๐Ÿ‘€. Have a nice day

Just need to put some grass around them to make look more grounded.

Sorry for the quick response. I was trying to reply without my glasses on. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

First, good morning to you as well. Hope you have a fantastic Sunday. Any changes in the color of your Canadian sunset?

Lovely

Thanks Matt! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey beauty, I'm a little confused about the color change. At canadian Sunset, everything is in the normal range. I have never experienced this as extreme as at to the Summit. Inexplicable. Blue / black, too many layers, I don't know I'll upload it right away then you can look. I'll paint red sleep mountain to check the colors and then Indian Summer first. Hope you also have a nice Sunday, feel hugged ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜Ž

You did a good job. I like paintings with liquid black. Bob did several of these.

Thanks Tom! Itโ€™s really interesting. I was a little nervous at first thinking it would blend too much with what I would put on top like when we experience mid mixing but to my surprise, it was easy breezy!

Happy Sunday Dirk my friend! Well, it is odd. I just checked your painting and I donโ€™t see a change either. Maybe only certain paints with darker pigments do that on carton?!! It could be your amount of layers too like you mention. Very interesting phenomenon!!!

Same Carton . Same gesso ,that i used several times . Same Brands .Maybe the Layers are to Thick .its possible
