Dock Scene

Ninoum 25 Mar 2023

I have mixed feelings about this one…

I enjoyed the hard challenge. Working on 3 buildings and a boat… wow!!! It took me over 10 hours to finish.

The one thing that bothers me is my furthest walkway… the one by the boat. I am afraid to rework it since it is next to the boat… I’ll see how I feel tomorrow about it.

I taped the edges to give the inpresssion of a frame. This was painted on a big 22” x28”

Good Morning and Bonjour directly from work. That's extraordinary, a scene that I really like and super implemented. Great,Nancy. Have a nice Weekend 😎👊🏼

This is crazy good! I wouldn’t fuck with it. The walkway is perfectly imperfect and absolutely fine the way it is imho. Bet it’s even better in person. Love these on a larger scale.

Guten Morgen mein Freund! I am preparing slowly but surely to go to work. It quite early here (4:40 am). Thank you very much! Very challenging one to do. I realized I started my tree to high after I started my 1 at building. By the same fact, that building was too high too… etc. But I managed to finish it with the right proportions and all. Def some struggle came with this painting.

Thank you very much Karna! 😊 I guess I am my worse own critic! You def boost my moral about this detail. And yes, in person, it looks much better. Specially that size.

Another cracker Nancy, those buildings 😍

You always know how to cheer me up Niv! Thank you so much! 😀

There is nothing you should be dissatisfied with. You have to paint so beautifully first. Top 😎👊🏼

It looks great!
To me that pathway near the boat looks like an old and worn down stone path. The ground underneath is starting to sink a bit by now.

BEAUTIFUL SCENE ..CHEERS.P

Nancy you were able to get a beautiful picture out of a rather ugly one imho. Sorry Bob ! Love the boat.

I knows I can always count on your opinion and honesty Dirk. And I appreciate that of you so much. I guess I am too harsh on myself sometimes. Maybe I was so tired after painting that my vision deformed some aspects of my painting. I will look at it again from a rested eye later on. Thank you friend!

Thank you so much Titia! I actually was going for that exactly. There was so much wooden structures that I wanted to have a different outcome for that pathway. And it does look like old and sinking slightly. I guess it something we could see in an old marina.

I really appreciate Pietro! ☺️

Awwww! Brian! Thank you so much! You just put a smile on my face! 😀

This is just fabulous! You have become quite the master painter! Love all your details! The further walkway is great and just looks very weathered like it should! So awesome!

Sandy, thank you very much! 🥹 I really put all my heart and soul in each and every painting I do. I was trying to go for that effect of that pathway. Glad it kinda came out as such.

Nice work on the buildings, you are an expert for buildings yet :)

Thank you so much Tom! I def learned lots on my buildings for the past 3-4 months. I was scared of them and decided to learn how to paint them to enjoy their challenges.
