Learned the hard way about cheap canvas board, soaked up the liquid white halfway through. Limited palette.

Is is a canvas on a cardboard or a pre stretched one? For oil, a pre stretched is preferred. The cardboard one will soak your liquid white wetness. Bob mentions it in a couple of his episodes. If you really want to use the cardboard canvas, make sure you prime it with 2 layers of gesso. It will help a ton to keep the liquid white wet. 😊
