Indian Summer

Tom0779 03 May 2023

Acrylics version of this beautiful scene Bob created in that episode.
I think acrylics fit better for wood scenes than oils. In wood scenes a lot of layers are needed and this is perfect for them. Although I am not a very experienced person with this medium I am quite happy how it turned out.

Hey Tom, very nice and then in acrylic. Respect! Great. I've had it on my list for soooo long. At some point I'll do it πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ😎

Thanks a lot Dirk. With acrylics you can make amazing pictures. Give it a try it is not so complex.

Beautiful painting Tom.

Thank you Tomi!

Stunning as always Tom!!!

Pietro1963 Master of Monsters

great job Tom!

Thanks a lot Tony!

Thank you Pietro, glad you like it!

Tom, maybe you can help me. I saw a relatively old picture of Bill but can't find a title. Seascape with birds on the beach. Not on Alexander Art, if I haven't overlooked it. Do you have any idea?

Hey Dirk, do you mean that one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hk2X5rEIuA ?

Ja gepostet von Todd M.

Perfekt!

This is really beautiful! Good job with acrylics!

Beautiful painting Tom! great layering of colors and texture on the grass. Nice calm colors!

looks amazing!

Many thanks Sandy!

Thanks a lot Sunny, layering is so easy with acrylics.

Thanks a lot Jessie!

It is gorgeous. Do you use the same brushes for acrylic?

Thanks Cold. I use different brushes. With oils I use a lot of Bobs brushes. With acrylics I use smaller cheap bristle brushes. Such brushes my kids use at school.

Absolutely beautiful work done in acrylics :). I just noticed a similar painting done by Kevin Hill but his added rocks on the right. I wonder if he used this one by Ross as inspiration. Really well done

Thanks Daniel. I think the very old episodes by Kevin have been even done with Bobs equipment. Maybe he has removed those old ones yet from his channel, not sure. So I think he got inspired very much by Bob.

I just love the texture on the bark, it looks very detailed without being overdone. The light is also pleasantly dramatic, for lack of a better phrase.

Thanks Jeff. Bark is done with a fan brush. To me this works very good in acrylics.

Thanks Tom but do you no the Name of this painting?

No I don’t. Seems these are special tutorials. I haven’t seen them anywhere else.

Okay thanks Tom πŸ‘πŸΌ

Gorgeous Tom! 😍
