Storm on the Horizon

Ninoum 06 May 2023

I was so hungry this morning when I got up that I ate all the grapes! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. I had to rework that sky. Now I can sleep better with this version!

Just saw it! Very true my friend! πŸ˜€

Don't be too hard on yourself Nancy, I think this is lovely, the wave, especially the eye,is magical, love the tree and the way it's being caught in the breeze and the birds really add to the mood. The white clouds look good against the purple, if I may be so bold as to offer one small idea, maybe try a little grey mix or other complimentary colour added to some of the purple to use as a shadow colour, just enough to change the flavour in the cloudscape as it were, might just give you another dynamic to play with πŸ™

The other was really nice but this is magical! Awesome work as usual!

Great job N I like this one better!

I believe that it was given to many people to be super self-critical and with their own created things this gets worse again, I also include myself. It doesn't matter what others say because the satisfaction must arise from yourself. With what you change, improve or learn to live with it. Nice Sunday my friend. Great fix πŸ˜ŽπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

Loving it!
The clouds are indeed much better than in the first version.
The waves, the sand, the palm... I'd like to go there and feel that wind one my face!

@Dirk1968: Agreed.
"super self-critical" Yep, guilty as charged. There's always somethign in my paintings that I'm not satisfied with. LOL!

Thank you Niv for that! I wanted to add some darker gray areas but I was afraid to ruin it. I have so much to learn on how to make great clouds. I def look up to you for all your amazing skies!

I appreciate Sandy! Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much my friend! πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ😊 You couldn’t have said it better. I always appreciate your wisdom very much so.

Thank you so much B! Glad you appreciate the rework! Still not perfect but much better than the 1st version.

Thank you Titia! 😊 It’s def a double edge thing being super self-critical… we are never really satisfied and can go crazy over things that aren’t worth it. But in another hand, it makes us a better artist. We always strive to learn more and sharpen our skills. It also made me not afraid to scrap off a section a redo it until a better outcome arise. πŸ˜‰

Super work, especially with the rigger/liner brush!

Thank you much Tom! I always enjoy doing the liner part. I like working those type of details.
