Misty Rolling Hills

Tom0779 26 May 2023

New Bob Ross recreation. I have seen the version of Shadowlink, since that point of time I wanted to paint this episode.
Here is the outcome. I made my hills more green than Bob did and made my „rolling hills“ a bit more misty.
The way to make the tree trunks was different from other episodes.
This is oils on canvas panel 16 x 20 in (40 x 50 cm)

Hey Tom, Fine Technique and the pink /violet in the background looks fabulous. Tree trunks can be challenging, sometimes👍🏼🇩🇪

Thanks Dirk. Actually I think the technique Bob did. for the trunks is different but nice to learn something new.

Great painting Tom. I really like the texture on the tree trunks.

Very nice! I liked doing this one and the effect on the trees is cool and really simple. Beautiful!

Many thanks Tomi, the texture on the trunks is really because of the technique (holding the fan brush vertically) Bob uses in this episode. I have used it with acrylics before but never with oils.

Thanks Brian, I am glad you like it!

Really nice!

Loving your rendition of this scene!
The evergreens look great, colours work well. I like the more greenish colours going on in the foreground. Gives the painting even more depth.

Many thanks Coldethel!

Thank you Titia. Yes this was the plan to get a bit more depth in the foreground. I thought Bob used too much of the same color shade for all the hills.

I def love your version the most! Super outcome Tom! ☀️

Love the colors and the trees look fabulous!

Thank you Nancy for your support!

Many thanks Sandy!

glad I could provide some inspiration, you knocked this out of the water!

Many thanks Jessie. Definitely you inspired me to do that episode!

A wonderful scene Tom. Looks great. Well painted. Cheers

Many thanks Dave. I am glad you like it
