Frozen Beauty in Vignette

Hammipaints 20 Jun 2023

Can't imagine cabins beimg a theme I'm ever going to be good at lol. BUT the vignette worked out quite well I think! Maybe a Bush would have been nice in the empty space on the left but it feared it might have been a bit much. Anyway, the "recessed area" bob put in on the right turned out as a fallen tree branch in my version and you absolutely knew I would turn that big tree into a birch! The Evergreen turned out a bit bushy for my taste but it was the first time I was using the round brush for an evergreen and I definitely can see myself practicing that a bit more. Overall this was a fun one!

It turned out very nice! I think adding the bush would be too much. Love your little ground branch.

Thank you people!

Try to draw some buildings to learn about perspective. Just use a pencil and paper. It should help you a lot. Often we think these guys teaching they just knock out those buildings and it fits but they have trained to handle perspective over years.
The vignette is amazing with acrylics.

Thanks a lot Tom!
That's probably a good idea. I actually have been good with perspective in the past but it has been quite some years since I actually drew buildings. But well, if only perspective was the only issue I have with how my cabins turn out.. 😄
