Tempera.
This is the first time I tried to do the proper black canvas - I painted the whole sheet of paper black and let it dry for a day. Well… some areas are actually quite interesting - I like the dark water, for example. The sky however, did not work out at all. Turns out, the dry layer of tempera absorbs fresh paint like nobody's business. Those clouds were dry two seconds after I painted them - looking quite weird. I panicked and just poured more white – making the whole sky bleak and unnatural.
Overall, it's a very interesting technique to keep trying. There are two coming up just this season!

I really can't imagine doing these paintings in tempera. Nice job. The sky isn't bad, it looks abstract.
