I am usually skeptical when the final touch on a painting holds a likely possibility of ruining the whole thing. Likewise, in this painting I wasn't sure if I was going to do the white snowfall splatter, but I am glad I did! It really adds a cold, misty finish to the painting that makes it a little bit different from the others in the series.
I also went with more muted colors as I find I have been doing more lately.
