A Copper Winter

joha59 12 Jan 2024

An 'in-between-skating-painting', it's already over now, I wanted to try this painting in the colors Pam was using in her beautiful version, but ...
the background colors became lighter as intended, also I found it difficult to get the highlights on the bushes from ac-sgreen color combination: not dark enough and too transparent, the closer bushes are better with a background of black and vdbrown. In my opinion the evergreen became the best part, which normally never happens, on canvasboard 30 x 24 cm, I skipped the flick activity, already enough mess on the canvas (smiley) and I added an extra birch tree on the right: it was very empty there.
