I've been trying to think of ways to add more areas of interest to the mid-ground regions (footy hills, etc.) to help tie together the foreground and background. Hopefully, I'll come up with something as I keep practicing.

Yeah, I wonder about the same thing. I think you did a great job on this one, the middle ground is eye-catching and meaningful all on it s own. Nice one!!!
