2nd attempt at oil painting. No prior painting experience. Bob explains these things so well. I am having trouble getting the highlights in the foliage. I feel like any time I put in a light color it disappears into the dark.

Plenty of highlight paint on your brush then press very VERY gently, and go slowly with just the corner of the brush. Keep re-loading with paint.
