Lake View

joha59 06 Jul 2025

This episode is not very popular, so I wanted to do a try, but even it's also not my favorite I wanted to try to follow Steve as much as possible, he doesn't need the help of his daddy anymore, because he can make it by himself in this video. I found the trees above the hills a little strange, I kept them a bit unclear and also the background tree behind the birchtrees I didn't understand because it is hardly visible even as the vignet effect on top, because of the big trees it is almost covered, but I liked the lake and the pond and the colored bushes, on canvasboard of 24 x 30 cm. Hardest part, no doubt about it, the leaves with highlights on the birchtrees (I overworked them a bit I think).

Came out very beautifully.

Your bushes and the path are lovely. It's easy to overwork with highlights isn't it but I think you got away with it. When it's dried down you could always put some dark back in. I hate messing with it afterwards though, it's just asking for trouble, it is at Chez TLP anyway. I find Steve's half hearted vignette a bit odd.

Very good work ,Jos . πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡³πŸ‡±

Lovely!

Thank you very much for the comments Bob, Helen (normally I do not rework it afterwards or just a little bit), Dirk, Nivek and Carolyn!

Oh wow!! Awesome!

Thank you Stephanie, glad you like it!
