Lake View

Voy Kay 02 Jan 2021

I lost composition here where the inner lake is a bit too big considering the tiny lower brushes with its very tiny lower lake.
Never understood why Steve left that right side open. I should have been smarter and painted a tree or something in that area, maybe I will fix that later cause now it shows unfinished. A little frustrating though.

Budget canvasboard 10"x12" where the easiest part was the big tree, the hardest were the bottom lake reflections.

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Thank you Tom, although I'm not really standing behind all the latest creations. Practically all have to do with the challenges I wish to complete and thus I'm painting lots of things I never intended to paint in the first place. Therefor I use budget and small canvasses what does no right to any of the creations.

But .... there is a huge advantage to it!
Namely, I finally believe I nailed the bushes and foliage technique as well as my mountains that have upgraded from poor to satisfactory!
So practice DOES pay off!!

About 4 others to come to complete the challenges and then I can finally go back to the point where I will only paint what really interests me.

Till next one!

Looks great Voy

The tree for sure is J.D., since also my family believe it's about the best birch tree I ever did! Pity it's situated on a budget small canvas!!
