Evening Seascape

Marit79 28 Sep 2025

Sept '25: Oh do I love these dark canvas paintings, and the "magic" that comes with it! This one started off well - the first rock esp. got me thrilled! - but became really difficult halfway through. Feeling I needed more space, I moved the big wave to the left; perhaps my first mistake (sorry: happy accident). The struggle started and the project got renamed to "Anatomy of the Wave" (my mom was working on this one too and struggled just as hard). In the end it only looked sort of natural to me by adding more rocks, which feels like cheating (it should be a wave, not a rapid), but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I do like the sandy foreground and the atmosphere in general.

This is very nice. I like the extra rocks, they make sense in this context. Have fun and enjoy the challenges - er happy accidents.

I love this interpretation! It looks great and the rushing water over the rocks is perfect.

I love the sand and the dark cliffs in the background. Very cool!

The waves are layered in color, and if that was intentional, it's quite interesting.
Well done!

Very cool! It's like a fantasy setting.
