Oil on gesso-ed basswood. approx 6"x8". I wanted to do something different and had this piece of wood from the craft section. This was a challenge because it was somewhat asymmetrical, and small. I had to get the small brushes out. I found the buildings and the pine trees difficult to get the level of detail that I wanted, because of the size. I also had a fiasco trying to add a boat. I left my second attempt, the little row boat in. First attempt - well we practiced how to edit stuff out!
