12"x16" canvas. Liquid Clear and Indian Yellow base. Titanium White, Van Dyke Brown, Dark Sienna, Yellow Ochre and Cadmium Yellow.
I've always liked the look of "Golden Glow", especially in some of the versions I've seen here on TwoInchBrush. I didn't want to squeeze in the foreground tree that Bob put in his. I figured that the pine tree over there was big enough to balance out the trees on the left. I haven't screwed up the courage to try a cabin yet.
I was hoping for a little more vibrancy. Probably needed to use more Indian Yellow in the Liquid Clear. I also had some issues with the LC reacting to paint thinner in brushes I was sure were dry enough.
Beautifully done, love the reflections
Nice. You can use oil instead of paint thinner. It will slow the dry time, but it won't react with luquid clear. Be sure to use linseed or another drying oil.
Very appealing interpretation of this pretty scene--no need for a cabin!
Beautiful
