I try to get back into oil painting. So I first try to search for tutorials which are a bit 'easier'.
This one wasn't too complex and it only uses a few colors (the crimson in the sky you can barely see).
As the Bob Ross midnight black tends very much to crimson side, I mixed a little bit of phtalo green into it for the sky area.
Painting time was 70 minutes, very nice is the fact you do not have to clean the brushes during the painting ;)
Still I do not feel so well with the oils, than I did 2 years ago. I guess some practice is still needed.
It is oils on canvas panel 50 x 40 cm.
Awesome work ! The gray sky looks so impressive!
Nice impact for just a few colors.
Those are beautiful clouds and love the terrain effect of your rolling, snowy hills
Looks fine to me! The soft-to-sharp from back-to-front and show shadows give great depth.
Thank you everyone!
This is fantastic!!
Thank you very much Deckard:)
