This is on an 18x24 canvas. I’m trying to focus on lay of the land and then individual bush shapes. Seems I’ll be busy at something then lift my head and wonder how I got there! Anyway, as so many of you have said we our own worst critic. I’m open to any constructive feedback as really trying to learn. Thanks
Great job overall on this challenging scene.
I agree with previous writers: a beautiful version of this scene!
Thank you Landscape Painter for your thoughtful feedback. I agree with what you said about the water and will try and keep that in mind going forward.
Thank you jlstutz for the nice words.
Thank you John for the nice compliment!

Probably the prettiest version of this one I've seen. The land work is really well done and I like the clarity of the bridge against the diffused background. A lovely painting. Constructively, as you asked, as your water is so bright blue I would expect to see some of it in the sky. I think generally sky colour sets the tone for water, but maybe that's just me. Close to the shore on the left the water might benefit from a little darker blending as it is overshadowed by those tall trees. Hope that helps.
