This was quite fast: 3 hours "only"... I enjoyed doing the background and the tree trunks, and the grass with just a simple highlight as a "path", or more an invitation to walk this way. I had a hard time with the liner brush. I will try with the knife next time. The paint was thin like ink, but the line for the sticks was still too thick. Overall I'm quite satisfied.

This is a great painting! The trees are fantastic and create a great Illusion of depth. I've struggled with the liner brush as well but am finding the more I practice with it I'm getting better. Your branches are really quite good even though you may not think so Stick with it!

thank you very much, and yes Dan, you're right, I'm putting too much pressure on myself, especially since the tree's branches are covered up later on! Thank you Lawrence for your comment, I had fun to do them and spend time on these trunks.
