Not a very popular scene, there are not even 10 versions on this site (this one is no.9)! On a black gessoed canvas, but Bob used no underlaying color, only clear was used, in my case linseed oil. Bob did almost everything in this painting with the 2-inch brush, except the cabin and the bare tree. I do not have a Bob Ross 2-inch brush so I used a 1-inch spalter brush. Excuses for the bleeding oval on some spots, this was the worse sticking plastic I 've ever used (or the underlaying gesso was not completely dry). I did it on wallpaper of 50 x 40 cm and used a dish of about 42 x 29 cm to cut out the oval shape.
Superb painting! Love the cabin and the tree as well as all the trees..
You did a beautiful job on this, maybe more folks will paint it now!
Really like this one. The cabin is awesome and great textures of the grass.
Voy! Your comment is as a poem! Thanks for honoring my painting with that!
Thank you very much Sandy, Larry and Dan!
It's an unusual Ross painting, not having mountains or water. It's an attractive painting though. I'm sure many people would love to have it hanging on their wall.
Beautiful

Using a dish for the oval ... good one, I must remember that.
I can hardly choose what I like most about this creation. That cabin, wonderful ... the dead tree, magical ... the grass, so well created and the tsunami of pines, what amazing colours and shapes you formed to really show us quite a spectacle.
My compliments on this one Joha!
