Silent Forest

Voy Kay 20 Jan 2020

After my perhaps mishaps yesterday with a mirrored snowy birch forest, I decided to take on another kind of forest. I had a black canvas 12"x16" available so went on a smooth enjoyable paint trip for about two hours in a turqoise forest! Easiest to do were the background and the path, less easy to get the colour of the trees in shape. Bob's used his technique and I followed him (to learn!) yet in the end, it might have been better if I did my technique which I was successful with in earlier paintings. No worries, it was all about joy and learning today. Oh yes, that major big tree Bob did put in at the very end .... I decided not to do that since I believed there was not enough room available on my canvas. Please enjoy!

Again, this picture shows very two dimensional only. In reality there is more depth in this painting.

The depth you created voy is very good, the bushes and trees are very nice, well done!

Thank you Patoex! I will retry this one day but with different trees then!

I love this paintng. Its simplicity pulls the viewer in. It lets the artist create so much individuality. All versions are so unique and well done. I am also worling on Night Birch next. Same reason.

This is a real nice one to do, but I painted this while I was still a beginner. Not that I am an expert now but at least I paint trees and bushes a lot better.
Good luck on your endeavours and hear/read you soon!
