Desert Hues

Voy Kay 18 Feb 2020

Canvas used was a 12"x16" and iso an oval, tried an extended diamond shape. What I will only remember from this one is that it was in the CRI course in Florida Sep 2019, and I would have failed that course.

I love this one. I was just in Arizona last week and took some great cactus photo's so I'll be right behind you ;-) BTW love the depth of the mountains

Nice work

Thank you MHK, my family loves this one too so I cannot understand why it is me that is so averse to it. Maybe I expected too much?? And yes, Arizona is nice although I only visited a very small part of it. My cactus experiences were mostly in Nevada and California. LOVELY desert nature there as well!!

You know I'm a big fan of the diamond border for desert scenery! I haven't painted in a while, and this scene caught my eye. Good job.

Dear GMRII, thanks for your cheers!
It is worth a try to experiment with these kind of shapes, other then an oval. You can check out some other experiments I did in other paintings I made. Please enjoy!
