Triple View

dracula 23 Aug 2020

I was a little put off by how large the cabin is in the original painting; seems like it was made for giants. So, I messed around with the scale of things a bit; not sure if it was to better effect or not. It was fun to experiment with that sort of thing either way.

I think I like the triple-pane style of this composition, but to be honest, I would maybe have preferred to just keep it intact as a normal painting.

You created great depth! Beatiful mountains and trees as usual.

Great work overall, but I especially love the evergreen shadows.

It’s beautiful Dracula. Such a peaceful scene.

Thank you everyone, I appreciate your kind words. My favorite par of this is the distant mountain, I hope to bring more of that quality into my next mountain range.

@tel: Yes I noticed your unique take on Triple View when I was uploading mine. You did a very good job and the wood frame effect is super and really suits the image. To be honest, I thought you painted it on a slab of wood; it's a very good Trompe-l'œil effect!
