Snowbound Cabin

Voy Kay 26 Sep 2020

My 11th painting from season 24, two more to go. This was done on a small canvas, 7"x11", and was a recycled one which explains the bumps in the center of the canvas.
This is an easy painting yet difficult because of the small size of the canvas. Even an 1" brush feels too big here.
Not a great success yet it's only some much needed practice for me!

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Dear Tom, thank you for the cheers!
I'm trying to complete season 24 so this was .... what I would call an obligated painting. For that reason, I paid no attention to detail nor expenses so that's why I chose a minor recycled canvas.
In the end, I wish I had not done that since this painting has indeed more value in it then one would expect. Specially looking at it from a distance, the entire creation really stands out!
I can only invite you to give this a try and my best advice would be not to use a small canvas!
Have fun!!
