A Spectacular View

10th painting of season 27 which I wish to complete.
I looked forward to this one, really did, and that had most to do with the rock wall and the mountain range. Well .... at least I got the mountains a bit right!

Canvas used was a budget 12"x16". As Bob suggested, I painted the bottom with back gesso first and applied liquid clear after it dried. Top side with liquid white of course.
Hardest part here was to stop rushing! My haste had influence on the end result unfortunately.
Pity that the picture only partially does justice to those mountains which in reality look twice as good!

I really like that foreground hill on the right. It’s got so many layers in it. Lots of movement of grass, Voy. Makes me think of the scene in the movie, “The Sound of Music”
