I use acrylic paint mixed with textile medium to paint this on a dark green sweater for an ugly sweater contest. Colors blended surprisingly well on a sweater, but the palette knife did not work on the mountains.

I just duct taped the sweater to my table with a piece of cardboard inside to separate the front from the back. I didn't stretch it so much as just keep it very flat.

Your mountains without a knife look super good! All blending is awesome. Did you stretch the sweater to paint on it? To what degree?
