First Bob Ross painting, and actually first time painting anything. I really was shocked how well it went, though I struggle with clouds. I also couldn’t work the knife well. I used gesso instead of liquid white because I thought they were the same thing.

Welcome to the club 😁 When I painted my first bob ross painting I was also surprised that it actually wasn't too bad 😁 and it's been (more or less) only upwards since then.
I would suggest that you watch bob's 1 hour special the grandeur of summer, he explains many things in detail there.
