Forest Down Oval

Voy Kay 16 Jan 2021

I recuperated some ovals recently, ment for smaller canvasses, and I had one left so gave this wonderful forest scenery a try.
Recuperating ovals? Recycling ovals?? Yeah, sure, not every size is suitable though but it does work for me. Most can only be done once, some twice, but still, it will help your budget!

50 minutes of fun! Canvas used was budget 10"x12". Because of the use of liquid white for painting the background mood, no liquid clear is needed on the black gesso that has in fact its own layer of Crimson and blue to start with.
Easiest to do was .... I think about everything was fairly easy to do, nothing too difficult here.

Please enjoy!

That's right FVG, such combination does not always work but here, they are so soft that they are in real harmony!

Many to follow I hope dear Heather!

It is quite beautiful. The blue makes a lovely backdrop and the crimson mist fits in there perfectly. Nice one.

You are too kind for me Froggie! But yes, I had a steady hand an joyful heart that day!

I love the soft colors.

Thank you David! Oils are rather forgiving in giving a more soft and/or pastelled ambiance. I adore these kind of pâintings a lot since they can bring a lot of depth in any creation.
