Bridge to Autumn

Voy Kay 25 Jan 2021

Wanted to paint this one already a year ago I think, but never had the courage to do so then. In fact, few courage is needed here since this is really a simple and straight forward painting after all.
Perhaps the only obstacle here would be the bridge itself and I would encourage everyone who is not fully comfortable with dimensions, shapes and perception to draw this on a piece of paper first. That will be a great help!

Canvas used was a budget canvasboard of 10"x12".

Please enjoy!

I love the color in the trees, and the path is just beautiful! Great job with the bridge as well

Thank you so much for your cheers!
Buildings have never scared me so my biggest worry was the grass here. Luckily that nice path took the attention away from it!

I will call it bridge to the wild to myself. Forest on the other side is so thick and wild. Great colors there! Bridge is so nicely built!

thank you Sunnylday!
Also the missus is wild about that distant wild! I never traced or drawn the bridge at first (although I recommend it) but as you know from me, I prefer to do this freestyle and so I did.
There is a little hedge at the back of the bridge you know, but hardly visible to the naked eye.

I was in meine many years ago canoeing with some friends..on a dare i jumped of a covered bridge similar to this one but about 40 feet high, into the frigid March waters..I was a strong swimmer and at the age of 17,thought I was invulnerable. The water thought different.Shock was an understatement.By th grace of God,I made it back to shore.Great colors V..This is great and brings back memories of my youth.Love it!
