Campfire

rock_lobsterrr85 28 Apr 2021

I initially was planning on doing the original campfire scene, but i thought screw it let’s do something a little more fun! I very carefully traced out the shape of a creepy little demon guy (heavily inspired by the art of Olly Jeavons) in masking tape, so that i could paint these dark woods over top then peel it off to show the black canvas underneath. This was 100% the hardest painting i’ve done! Took a really long time to get the exact values and even colors right, but i’m very happy with how this came out ! definitely planning on doing more of this spooky art and trying new things in the future.

So much better than that lame old cowboy :D

The cowboy has risen and showed his real silhouette!

Wonderful trees and bushes lighted by the flames!

Great new reading of the Campfire scene!

Scared the bejezus out of me!

This is scary! Now we all know exactly who is hiding behind that tree... 😈

Very cool take…..I always thought that the campfire would burn down the forest in Bob’s.

NICE. When "Camp Fire" turns into "Dante's Inferno"...
