It’s not often I get as giddy about a painting I’ve done as I have with this one, but damn am I happy with how this turned out. I experimented a bit with the amount of liquid white on the canvas, and I basically “underapplied” the liquid white in the area where the mountain would be. That way, by the time I was done blending out the base color of the mountain with the two inch brush, the mountain was basically dry which meant the the thick paint would break really easily using the knife and stick to the canvas super well. I also underapplied the liquid white to the area with the grass and bushes which meant highlights stuck to the canvas really well too. Overall, I’m more than pleased with this one!
