Riverside Escape Oval

Voy Kay 29 Jun 2021

Two hours of sheer fun and relaxation!

Canvas used was a budget 16"x20". Hardest part were the clouds where I kept having trouble with the blue devouring my white!

Very pretty. Especially the two trees on the left.

This is a really, really nice painting. I can see why you had fun. It looks like everything came out perfectly.

Definitely worthy of a wooden frame and a sales sticker. But I know as Bob says, "None of us are interested in that happy buck." 🙂

Voy, a beautiful paining, I like glossy water here, it brings a calm mood to the scene! Sky and clouds are very nice and gentle to show this wonderful summer day!

This is very nice. I really like the reflections and the subtle color changes in your background trees. Very, very pretty!

You did this in 2 hours!? Extraordinary! It is beautifully done. Very peaceful and accomplished.

Thanks for cheering Matt!
Af all trees, I like birches the best. Once you get the hang it scraping white paint on a bark, you are hooked to those kind of trees!

Till next one!

@Alex, yes indeed, I went slow with this one and thus kept full control at all times and of every aspect of the painting.
I was SO hapy I had a good day! 🤗😊

Dear Sunnylday, I must admit I had quite some trouble with the sky, specially the white clouds. Since I fail often with such skies, I try to avoid them. I should know better and try even more and harder with such skies in order to master them.
Sigh .... luckily I mastered water, birches and bushes! 😁😄👍

Lori, so nice to hear from you again!
Yes, since about half a year, I mastered bushes and trees foliage (works out well 90% of the time!) so in fact I even seek such creations from Bob, giving me lot of satisfaction.
I pay quite some attention to it that I put a lot of variation into bushes and trees, adding thus a lot to creating distance and viewer's interest!

Indeed Guna, water is inviting!
Like the one I painted just before this one, I added more water then Bob did, giving the spectator a little more room for breathing!!

Till next one!

@Barbara, yes, I try to paint most creations between one and two hours. With this one, I really took it slow, felt very relaxed and did not rush like I sometimes do, which gave me thus a better end result.!
It is one painting I do wanna keep and not recycle it!

Beautiful 😍
