I had exactly the same issue Emchop. I had a great painting until I started with the moss. Now, it is due for recycling since I simply hate it.
Your background colour/haze is excellent!
I like this painting. Might try it soon myself. You have nice color and depth to it as well.

I'd still be pleased. Great shadows on those large cypress trees up front. And the moss looks better than you think
