Forest Down Oval

Clieb1385 14 Jul 2021

This is my 8th painting ever. Started about 10 days ago. First time doing a black gesso canvas. I wasn't brave enough to try contact paper yet. I loved blending the background colors at the beginning. Making the tree trunks and branches with the liner brush was very challenging for me , I really struggle giving them sharp angles. Advice welcome.

Mgiese84 Cleanest Technique In The Game

I actually think the tree trunks are very nicely done. On the limbs / twigs just be sure you use enough thinner (or liquid clear) with your paint and they should flow nicely. And I also try to use light pressure and use the tip of the brush to get nice definition.

Great advice! Thank you , I will give that a try.
