Cactus at Sunset

joha59 05 Aug 2021

On canvasboard 30x24 cm, used a little bit (linseed) oil before covering the canvas with al.crimson, otherwise the paint became too dry. This was already the case with the sun. It was in first instance covered with contact paper, so no oil, did that later because the paint was too dry. Liked to do every aspect of this funny painting.
Oh, the "I'm just a poor lonesome cowboy, just a far way from home", is the only part that's not real in this painting.

Well done Joha. And I love the cowboy in the distance.

A+ on this. Well done

Clieb: thanks, I share your obsession!
Matt: thanks, never heard of Lucky Luke?

Can't say that I have Joha

Excellent! The textures and contrasts really add to the depth. Fantastic results.

Added picture of painting without the cowboy Lucky Luke
