Cypress Creek

Well this was fun. Painting the gesso palm trees was great, experimenting with different shades of gray to achieve depth. Then adding the oils. Love the misty prehistoric atmosphere. Maybe I should add a dinosaur somewhere in the background. Building the cypress trees was fun. The foreground was a bit of a challenge. Love the way the water looks with the black gesso underneath. I was adding the spanish moss really slowly, checking the color so that it doesn't stand out too much. All in all I'm really happy with this one. I was planning to paint it for so long, so I'm really happy I finally managed to paint it.
