I painted this painting some time ago but in the original colors, in a smaller format and on request, as a gift for Christmas, this time a little larger in black & white. As in the original , started with the dry black canvas and with, in this case, Ivory black oil paint as a primer,titanium white ,with a knife tip cadmium yellow in the eye of the wave. One of the quicker to paint paintings by Bill .Not so complicated but is a lot of fun. As always, totally fresh from 30 minutes ago. I hope the reflections are not too strong and you like it. My version of Moonlit Surf by Bill Alexander in black & white.
Canvas, 24 x 30 cm( 9,45 x 11,80 inch)2x Black gesso , grinded 240/400, no liquids, time 1,5 hours .
The second picture below is slightly modified and after more drying time.

Ich sag mal schwarz weiß war etwas komplizierter als das was ich im Original Farbspiel gemalt hatte . Irgendwie ist der Kontrast schwieriger herzustellen aber okay war das erste B&W.Thank you so much Tom 🇩🇪👍🏼🇦🇹
