Portrait of Sally

Voy Kay 23 Jan 2022

Instead of following Ben Stahl's version, I decided on painting my own creation of Sally.
Since the background was a nature scenery, I opted for a flower girl.

Canvas used was a recycled budget 12"x16". The vague background were the remains of 'Trapper's cabin' S29E8, a dragon that I had released several days ago.
Toughest part was getting it to stand from the background, wich I did with limited success only. Fun part was doing such creation on a recycled background! I might do this more often but the new creation really needs to be very suitable then!

Nothing really special about this creation, it was sheer Sunday morning amusement! Please enjoy!

Flowers are fun aren't they. If you make the top petal shorter it will tip the flower forward and help to bring it closer to the foregound especially if you add a bit more onto the bottom of the stem as well. It's nice to see more flowers creeping into paintings recently.

Beautiful flower.

Awesome ambiguous picture Voy! Sally seems to be sleeping already after busy day.

Thanks Sunnylady! Indeed, let's walk on our toes when passing by!😆

I made the error placing it too low, otherwise this would have had a far better effect and recognisability!

Till next one!
