Falls in the Glen

BeagleKnievel 13 Apr 2022

Found this 20x30x2 canvas at a thrift store and prepared it with black acrylic. Painting on a surface much larger than what I’m used to was intimidating at first. Now I really want to do more big scale paintings! I love the deep gallery wrapped edges that essentially expand your surface as well. Wish I could capture the sides of the painting too, but it was difficult just to get the whole image in the photo without glare. I went rogue on the sky and intentionally left brush strokes visible. I’m not sure it fits the best but i was happy with how it looked and didn’t want to change it with blending. Anyhoo, this took me about 8 hours, what Bob does in 26 minutes. Lol! I had the best time though, seeing the canvas come to life with each layer. Didn’t curse at Bob once the whole time! And for me, that’s saying something!

Very Pretty! Especially love the rocks and the falls! Good job!

Really nice! I like the sky and mist around the base of the mountain.

Beautifully done. I like the bold sky.
