Hint of Springtime

TonyM 14 Jun 2022

Here is one I kind of screwed up, but since there is paint on the whole canvas, I have to count it as a painting (my rule LOL).

I see good and bad in this one I really like the results from the far shoreline back: I like the way the mountains turned out and I really like the varied shades in the footy hill. I had painted some rapids in the water but they turned out like crap so I painted over them. I think the mountains should have been about 3" higher in the painting, giving the water a lot more space. The perspective looks off to me. Lastly, the foreground foliage stinks and is way too crowded as usual. All in all I still had fun painting this and learned a lot. I will paint this one again at some time. Clouds and foliage are not my friends yet ;)

18 x 24 canvas. Painting #33 in my awesome Bob Ross experience. I am really enjoying the journey.

As always, constructive comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking, I appreciate you all.

Not sure I'd agree with your critiques. Sky and clouds are nice. Mountains are good just the way they are, and I'm not seeing any problems with the foliage. To me, the land on the right slopes toward the water, and the peninsula on the left is more level. The whole things looks like a nice painting. I will agree, however, that clouds can be tough. But the ones here are really good. I'd take them.

Regards.

Tony I really like this and think that the foliage looks fantastic ( lots of distinct leaves)!

Thanks for the comments and feedback :)
