This was fun to paint. Thanks to Nancy for the tip of trying the gesso technique in this episode. I used water-mixable oils for the coloured part of this lesson.

Nancy, I’m looking forward to trying the technique in other ways like you did with your lovely painting. I’ve realised I need to ‘rough up’ my path a bit. It’s too uniform. Sometimes photos reveal things that the real thing doesn’t.
