Golden Knoll

Ninoum 26 Jun 2023

I wanted to do this little gem for the longest time. What a beauty!!! πŸ₯°

I added shadows. I always admired Tom’s. I held my breath and tried them. It was tricky since I had to follow the lay of the land of the lit part. I am pretty happy with them.

I followed the colors of the book instead. If any of you need the book pictures and tutorials, let me know. I have all of the 31 seasons. Always a pleasure to share with you all! πŸ˜€

The shadows add so much life to it, don't they? Well done!

Much nicer then the Bob original, but he had to do it in half an hour. Using the same tint in the whole painting with a lot of variations makes it nice for the eye.

Wow Nancy! This one really highlights your growth as a painter. It really shows all the new things we saw you learn through you posts on here and one really can see how the kevin hill tutorials you have been following influenced your take on this one. At least that's how I read it πŸ˜ƒ Great iteration!

I think that you can perceive your inspiration very strongly through Kevin Hill. Super done, Nancy πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

I agree with Hammi. This is an entirely new painting. Your skills as an artist, not just a Bob Ross painter, are really expanding rapidly!

So good, it’s beautiful

Thx Tom! They do a world of a difference. It really does become more real! Keep bringing yours. I always admire your work!

Many thanks Jos! Yes, Bob was rushed plus, a lot of the details that are in the book were omitted on tv due to a lack of time. The colors are brighter on tv so the viewer could see them better. The book ones have more realism color wise. Nature has duller colors. So I now tend to go with that.

Awww! πŸ₯Ή Thank you so much Marc! That means a lot! As I said many times, it is essential to do tutorials with different artists. You expand so much more your skills. Not easy. It’s totally relearning a new technique. It takes time and patience. But it pays big dividendes like Bob would say!

Thank you so much my friend! πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺβ˜€οΈ Yes, Kevin has brought so many new tools in my toolbox! I can spread a little of his influence in my recreations!

Thank you so very much my friend Tomi! 😊 I gotta say, you are growing your skills pretty fast as well. But you do have the guts to try different artists. It pays off!

Thank you very much Cold! πŸ˜ƒ

You made one of my least favorite Bob paintings into a masterpiece N! Amazing!

Indeed a masterpiece! You are growing as an artist by leaps and bounds!

love love love this!!

Oh my!!! You are all bringing tears in my eyes. πŸ₯Ή Thank you so much B! I am glad I was able to make a better version!

Sandy, this means a lot! Making progresses when you have a real passion for something happens on a fast track.

So happy you like this Jessie. It makes my day! β˜€οΈ
