I had a rough time on this one and mixed a lot of mud and didn’t get some layers with as much definition.
Instead of the baby mountain, I added in a castle.
In addition to the black acrylic underpainting, I also underpainted the sky in with dark sienna thinned down with equal parts thinner and liquid clear (and let it dry for 24 hrs in my hot garage). I’m not sure it had much of an impact, but it did force me to use more phthalo blue and titanium white since they are more opaque.
